If you're struggling with your body weight or body image and food is a source of anxiety for you, you're definitely not alone. Did you know that about 3% of women will have an eating disorder in their lifetime, and as many as 600,000 people in Canada meet the criteria for an eating disorder at any given time? Despite how many people struggle with disordered eating and eating disorders, it can be a very isolating place to find yourself in. If you struggle with your relationship to your body and food, or have a family member who does, I'm offering a free evening information session tailored specifically for you.

Some of the topics I will be covering include:

  • signs and types of disordered eating and eating disorders
  • how and why eating disorders develop
  • emotions and their connection with food and the body
  • body image
  • how to begin improving your relationship with food and your body
  • how to support a loved one through recovery from an eating disorder

When: early August (exact date TBA)

Where: Trinity Western University
